Class Description:
A hands-on introduction to clay focused on the big three handbuilding techniques—pinch, slab, and coil- through sculpting each week. Students will create 1-3 medium sized creatures or critters (depending on how detailed they would like to make each one) then glaze on the final day. No experience needed. Please plan for prompt pickup by 6:15pm. Finished work will be available for pickup 2-3 weeks after the last class.
Includes:
All supplies are provided and covered by the materials fee (clay, underglazes/glazes, and both firings).
What to Bring:
Clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. Clay does not stain, but it can splatter. We will also have aprons available for students to use.
