Class Description:

Dive into the world of clay in this beginner-friendly wheel-throwing class designed just for teens! Over four sessions, students will learn the fundamentals of using a pottery wheel, including centering, pulling walls, shaping forms like bowls and cups, and basic trimming techniques.

Each class will combine instructor demonstrations with plenty of hands-on time at the wheel, allowing students to explore their creativity while building skills and confidence. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to get a little messy and have fun!

At the final session, students will also have the opportunity to glaze their finished pieces, creating colorful, functional pottery to take home.

Includes:

  • 15 lbs of clay

  • Use of studio tools and glazes

  • Firing of up to 6 pieces

  • Personalized instruction and lots of time at the wheel

What to Bring:

  • Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty

  • A towel and water bottle

  • Short nails are recommended for easier wheel work
