Class Description:
Explore the bold, expressive brushwork that made Van Gogh's paintings unmistakable.
Students will learn his signature techniques: thick impasto texture, directional mark-making, and vivid, non-naturalistic color, and apply them to a landscape, still life, or floral reference of their own choosing (or opt to recreate one of Van Gogh's own paintings). Leave with a piece painted in the hand of a master with acrylic paint.
