Uncover the magic of cyanotype printing in this 2-day immersive workshop at WHAT Art School! Perfect for beginners, this class will guide you through the process of creating stunning cyanotype prints and transforming them into beautiful, ready-to-hang wall art.
During the workshop student will:
Learn the fundamentals of cyanotype printing, including the materials, techniques, and exposure process.
Explore alternative techniques by printing with transparencies and experimenting with toning prints and plant pigments to create unique colors, textures, and effects.
Assemble your final piece, learning basic sewing skills to turn your prints into wall hangings.
Supplies
Students must bring their own fabric, enough to make 4 medium sized wall hangings.

ANNA CARLSON is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and gardener living and working in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She received a BFA in sculpture from The University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2022. She teaches fiber arts classes in greater Minnesota through the Textile Center of Minnesota.
