Description:

Oil painting can feel unapproachable if you’ve never done it before. We’ve designed this class to be the essential bootcamp for getting started, saving you hours of research and materials costs.

In this 4-hour session, you’ll learn the basics of oil painting from the ground up. We’ll go over materials, how to set up your space, and how the paint works.

The focus is on learning and experimenting. You’ll spend time mixing color, handling the paint, and trying different approaches so you can get comfortable with the process.

We’ll also cover drying time, working in layers or in a single session, and how to clean and care for your materials.

You’re welcome to start a piece or simply use the time to practice and explore. Anything you work on can be taken home, keeping in mind that oil paint typically takes one to two weeks to dry.
