What to Expect

A flexible, independent studio experience designed to fit your life. Ceramics Lab gives you professional infrastructure, experienced guidance when you need it, and the freedom to create on your own schedule.

❋ 8 Weeks of Total Access

Your tuition covers 8 consecutive weeks of full independent studio access. Even if there isn't a formal class meeting during a specific week, the studio is yours to use for practice, glazing, and refining your work.

❋ Choose Your Track

Tailor your instruction to your goals. Select your focus when you sign up:

  • Wheel-Throwing Track: Includes 4 structured class sessions to master centering, pulling, and shaping.

  • Handbuilding Track: Includes 4 structured class sessions focusing on slab, coil, and sculptural techniques.

❋ Build Your Own Schedule

No rigid tracks here. You can drop in for your classes and utilize your 8 weeks of studio access anytime between August 5th and the end of the year. Simply pick the dates that work best for your calendar.

Work alongside fellow makers in a professional, fully equipped facility. Our lab prioritizes creative freedom, safety, and community, giving you a true "third space" to unwind and focus on your craft.

Even when there is no class scheduled, you can still use the studio to practice during open hours!

Please note we do schedule make up sessions if needed.

What’s Included in Your Tuition: Every Ceramics Lab registration is fully all-inclusive so you can just focus on creating. Your pass includes:

  • The Full Kit: Your first 25lb bag of premium clay.

  • Studio Finishes: Full access to studio glazes.

  • Firing Fees: All kiln firings are completely covered.

  • Personal Space: A dedicated studio storage shelf and a damp box to protect your pieces in progress.

  • Massive Open Studio Access: Unlimited practice time during any of our regular open hours (Wednesdays & Thursdays 10am–4pm, Fridays 12pm–6pm, Saturdays 10am–4pm, and Sundays 12pm–6pm). No reservations are ever required just to come in and practice!

Lab Scheduling Rules:

  • 8 Consecutive Weeks: Your independent studio access runs for 8 continuous weeks from your chosen start date.

  • Pick 4 Class Sessions: Whether you choose the Wheel-Throwing or Hand-building track, you just need to find scheduled class times on the calendar that work for you during your 8-week block.

  • Unlimited Practice Time: Even on weeks where there isn’t a formal class meeting held, the studio is fully open to you during open hours! Use your 8 weeks of access to drop in, practice on the wheel, build by hand, or glaze your work.

    • Open hours are: Wednesdays 10-4, Thursdays 10-4, Fridays 12-6, Saturdays 10-4, Sundays 12-4

  • 48-Hour Scheduling Policy: Once registered, you will be given access to our Student Portal to reserve your specific class dates online. We also accept sign-ups via email! All class reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please note that no-calls or no-shows will result in a lost credit.
